Mine Clearance (Demining)

The Azar Oil Field is located at the zero point of the border in the city of Mehran, Ilam Province. During the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), this area witnessed significant battles, resulting in extensive contamination with mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO). To prevent accidental explosions and in accordance with Sarvak Azar's policies, all personnel must participate in the Mine Risk Education (MRE) training course titled "Awareness of the Risks of Mines and Ground Vermin" before starting work on the site.

As a result, the name "Sarvak Azar" has been registered by the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Mine Action (GICHD) in Switzerland as the first active oil company globally in "Humanitarian Mine Action."

Mine and Earth Weapons (MRE) Awareness Training Course

Until today, approximately 4000 man-hours of Mine Risk Education (MRE) training courses have been conducted for personnel and visiting guests of the Azar Oil Field complex.

Internship in mine and explosives awareness training courses (MRE)

In line with the humanitarian objectives of this company, over 1000 hours of apprenticeship in Mine Risk Education (MRE) courses have been provided to indigenous tribes and students in neighboring areas.

Training for welfare and Red Crescent experts

Additionally, at the request of the State Welfare Organization of Iran and the Iranian Red Crescent Society, experts from this company have delivered approximately 1200 hours of training to around 600 trainers from these organizations.
