To address challenges in development, production, and the implementation of innovative solutions, SAED collaborates with knowledge-based companies such as TOMEX, BGI, WETCO, and Cylinder Manufacturing, as well as leading universities like Sharif University, the University of Tehran, Amir Kabir University, the University of Guilan, and the University of Ilam. This collaborative approach enhances innovation, research, and technical expertise across projects.

Advanced and Comprehensive Studies for Addressing Challenges

Conducted innovations and advanced studies to address underground challenges of Azar Oilfield in cooperation with leading academic centers, knowledge-based companies, and distinguished upstream consultants in the country.

Performed comprehensive underground studies of Azar Oilfield and updated information in line with the progress of the underground project, in collaboration with KPE Company.

Implemented a project examining the possibility of removing oil and hydrocarbon contaminants from wastewater, in collaboration with the University of Guilan.

Developed direct cooperation with the Department of Development and Technologies at Sharif University (Techno Sharif) in areas such as providing services, monitoring inside and outside the well, and MOS construction services.

Updated the initial development plan of the oil field across various upstream sections and drafted the plan for the second phase of development in Azar Oilfield, including securing financial support for the Iranian reservoir simulator software, Retina.

Conducted comprehensive studies to assess the integrity of Azar Oilfield wells and presented solutions to overcome challenges, in collaboration with Sharif University of Technology.

 Carried out studies on enhanced recovery and proposed superior scenarios for optimal production from Azar Oilfield, in collaboration with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry.

 Performed laboratory studies to select optimal inhibitors for asphalt-like and wax deposits in Azar Oilfield, in collaboration with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry.

Conducted studies on rock and fluid properties and enhanced recovery techniques, in collaboration with the knowledge-based company Energy Tavana Kish.

10. Investigated the production of asphalt-like and wax particles and their impact on production rates, in collaboration with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry.

Carried out comprehensive reservoir geochemistry studies, in collaboration with Amirkabir University.

Studied reservoir heterogeneity parameters of SAED’s fields using geological, geochemical, and petro-physical methods, in collaboration with Amirkabir University as part of a grant for a PhD dissertation.

Performed laboratory studies to identify and propose superior production scenarios from SAED’s oil formation, in collaboration with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry.

Lessons Learned

Another measure taken to excel in project management at SAED is the deployment of knowledge management, which involves systematically recording the experiences and lessons learned by personnel across all departments. Creating and maintaining a comprehensive management system for knowledge management enables the organization to overcome potential hurdles based on the nature of activities or to prevent similar issues from occurring. It also strengthens the organization’s capacity to continue projects effectively. To enhance the organizational knowledge base, SAED has taken steps to create, implement, and maintain a dedicated knowledge management system.

Benchmarking against successful global examples, SAED’s knowledge management system has documented lessons learned in management and specialized fields.
