Azar Field Development Operation Company (AFD)
Sarvak Azar Engineering and Development Company is one of the top three Iranian exploration and production (E&P) companies and is a subsidiary of Ahdaf Investment Company. In March 2024, the company concluded a contract with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and established a specialized project company in order to implement this national contract.
Accordingly, Azar Field Development Operation Company (AFD) was established as a subsidiary and the executive arm for the second phase of the Azar Oil Field. The establishment of this company is a continuation of previous successful experiences in the development of the Azar Oil Field. Previously, in the development of the first phase of the Azar Oil Field, the Azar Engineering and Construction Company was formed under a buyback agreement by a consortium consisting of Ahdaf Company and the Oil Industries Engineering and Construction Company, which brought about valuable achievements for the country's oil industry.
Now, AFD is pursuing the mission of developing and operating the second phase of the Azar Joint Oil Field, relying on expert human capital and utilizing technical and executive capabilities. This mission includes the integrated management of engineering, procurement, execution, and management of production operations, with the aim of achieving safe, sustainable, and value-added production.
The IPC contract is related to the development and production of the second phase of the . Azar Oil Field
- The development of the Azar Oil Field includes drilling and completing 18 new production wells, constructing flow lines, and implementing the required wellhead facilities for the exploitation of the field.
- This process includes drilling and commissioning a wastewater disposal well using state-of-the-art technical knowledge and technologies, with the aim of supporting the production process and increasing oil production capacity to 55,000 barrels per day.
