According to the Public Relations Department of Sarvak Azar Company, Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah appreciated the progress made in this process and emphasized the acceleration of the implementation of the second phase of the development of the oil field. He was accompanied by the Governor of Ilam and the provincial authorities in the visit. The visitors were briefed about the latest production and exploitation status of the field.
During this visit, a complete report was presented on the current production and exploitation status of Azar Oil Field. This oil field has been in development since 2011 with the investment of Ahdaf Investment Company in the amount of 1.258 billion euros. It has been developed in two stages; early production and final production that have been realized as per the planned goals.
Additionally, the measures taken to develop the second phase of this project, including engineering activities, procurement of goods and executive operations, were explained by the project executor and representatives of Sarvak Azar Engineering and Development Company.
1st Phase Completed and 2nd Phase on the Development Track
With the efforts of the government, the first phase of this project has been fully completed and the development of the second phase is on the agenda. During this visit, the project executor and representatives of Sarvak Azar Engineering and Development Company presented a comprehensive report on the progress of the second phase in the areas of engineering, procurement of goods and executive operations.
A significant part of the engineering documents for the second phase are in the finalization stage. Equipment supply contracts for both upstream and surface facilities have been concluded with domestic and foreign suppliers or are being pursued, and some of the goods have already been delivered to the site warehouses. Prerequisites for the deployment and commissioning of the first drilling rig have also been provided.

At the end of the visit, Dr. Ghaempanah, while expressing satisfaction with the progress made, appreciated the efforts of the project's pillars, especially the main employer, namely Ahdaf Investment Company and Sarvak Azar Engineering and Development Company for developing and managing the reservoir, and exploiting this challenging oil field at the border zero point.
The executive Vice-President also emphasized the government's determination to advance the approved development programs and announced the government's full support for realizing the goals of the second phase.
