Yarahmadi highlighted that the Azar oil field is one of the most complex and challenging fields to develop, a feat made possible through the significant contributions and unwavering commitment of Iran's capable workforce. He appreciated all managers, staff, and stakeholders involved in achieving numerous milestones during the first phase of development and operation of the Azar field. He noted that the safe launch and completion of this section would mark the final remaining commitment of the company for the first phase of the plan.
Referring to the downstream units’ unpreparedness to receive gas from the Azar field, Yarahmadi pointed out that, despite the completion of relevant activities and successful performance tests, these facilities had not yet been launched. However, he added that NGL-3100 has recently announced its readiness to receive gas from Azar. Consequently, plans for the launch and operation of the gas zones are now underway, with operational teams re-examining tests, fine-tuning equipment, and preparing for gas export as the ultimate goal.
He also confirmed that the Economic Council has approved the development of the second phase of the Azar oil field. This phase will involve new oil contracts with an investment forecast of over one billion dollars, which is expected to be ratified and become effective in the upcoming month.
