According to the Public Relations Department of SARVAK AZAR, this project, located in one of the largest oil fields in the country and known as one of the most complex development projects in the oil industry, has been designed and implemented entirely relying on the capabilities of domestic experts and the capacity of an all-Iranian company.
During his visit, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company referred to the strategic importance of this oil field and asserted that the implementation of this project in a completely Iranian manner is a symbol of national self-confidence and the realization of resistance economy strategies, and a shining example of the successful implementation of a national plan in the oil industry. Fortunately, with the round-the-clock efforts of Iranian engineers as well as the efforts of contractors following the highest developed standards, the contractual obligations of SARVAK AZAR have been met and all the anticipated goals within the stipulated time frame have been realized.
He noted that the implementation of this project in the sensitive border region of Mehran not only strengthens national production but also plays an important role in the sustainable development of Ilam province and creates jobs for local people. The Azar oilfield is a clear proof of the Iranian oil industry’s ability to manage joint fields and implement complex projects without foreign dependence.
In a meeting with the project executive team, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company appreciated the commitment, expertise, high spirit, and round-the-clock efforts of SARVAK AZAR staff and emphasized the continuation of the path of self-sufficiency and maximum utilization of domestic capacities in the second phase of the Azar oilfield development.
During this visit, Hamidreza Tavassoli, the CEO of SARVAK AZAR, presented a report on technical achievements, daily production rate, the implementation of development programs, and challenges in this difficult and complex project. He explained the achievement of all goals set in the contract, including production capacity, processing quality, completion of surface facilities and transmission lines, and sending gas along with oil to NGL-3100. Tavassoli underlined that through coherent planning in employing, training, and upgrading the knowledge of local forces in Ilam province, locals are functioning in various management, supervisory, expert, and other levels of the organization. Notably, more than 83% of the field staff are from the local community.
He added that thanks to the infrastructure and appropriate platform created in this company, not only will Phase 2 of the Azar oilfield be developed, but the necessary requirements have also been prepared and made available for the development of other development plans in the country’s vast oil and gas industry.
